An original Bay County Homestead! PreHurricane, there was the original home which was turned into a small barn, the large historical home with servant quarters on the top floor, a large barn, small store/storage, root cellar and cane mill in addition to a newer construction detached single family home (built 1980). The hurricane did result in the loss of some of the buildings but the historical home is still standing along with the cane mill (heavily damaged) . An utility infrastructure was installed along Hwy 22 and 2297. Possibilities exist for a great tourist attraction, bed & bath vacation spot, corner gas station on 22/2297, not to mention prosperous sale of timber! What a great way to promote community goodwill showcasing an original homestead property!
